We’re looking for a Fullstack Software Developer to join our Insight team in Landskrona.
You’ll work in an agile development team helping to shape the future of Insight—our cloud-native platform built on a microservices architecture using managed AWS services and a serverless-first, event-driven design. The main user-facing client is web based and built in React, and other clients include mobile apps developed with Flutter.

What you’ll be doing
In this fullstack role, you’ll play a central part in designing, building, and evolving both our AWS backend cloud solutions written in Java and Go, as well as our web client frontend written in React. You will both be developing new features as well as optimizing and maintaining existing functionality. This role aims to enable flexibility in addressing functionality and user needs in both the cloud backend as well as the web frontend. Your work will deliver real value to customers and internal users alike.
Your key responsibilities will include
Designing and implementing cloud-based as well as web-based functionality and infrastructure
Contributing to the platform architecture with a focus on security, scalability, and performance
Contributing to the user interface with a focus on usability and modularity
Collaborating with architects, designers, testers, and fellow developers to ensure technical excellence
Translating business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements
Ensuring software quality through secure coding practices, peer reviews, and automated testing
Maintaining and optimizing current systems for long-term reliability
Building and managing CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments
Ensuring stable operations and post-deployment system maintainability
Creating clear and structured documentation of system functionality

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation and real-world experience in modern cloud backend as well as frontend development. To thrive in this role, we believe you bring:
Solid experience in Java (for core service development) and Go (for AWS Lambda functions)
Substantial experience in React frontend development
Experience in AWS cloud development, including serverless and event-driven architectures
Fluency in English. 

It’s great if you also have:
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, test-driven development, and automated testing
Familiarity and practical experience with UX design and development
Background in agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps
Ability to contribute to and maintain scalable, maintainable architecture and documentation
Understanding of best practices for security and awareness of threats to software security

Together with the commercial Product Manager you will create and maintain plans for the new products as well as for the installed portfolio. You will lead pre-studies to explore new technology or customer values and identify and recommend system improvements to improve the technical performance of our products.

- Lead continuous improvement projects

You will manage, lead and develop the Technology Platforms Department that consists of a software team, a test team, an electronics team, and a custom design team. You have three Team leads and 4 Project managers to help you. The Technology Platforms team is responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining the electronics and software in our products that are in line with defined performance, quality and safety requirements. Example of products are control systems, motors, IoT hardware, accessories etc. Most of our development and tests are conducted in our in-house testing facilities in Landskrona.

Specifically, you will:

- Define and implement the roadmap for the architecture and technology choices for our products.

- Be responsible for development processes and tools that are specific for the team.

- Manage and execute product development projects from start to finish. Evaluate these projects to find improvements for next generation of projects.

- An advocate in strong cooperation and alignment with Product Units / R&D on product requirements.

- Be the line manager for the Technology Platforms department that currently consists of approximately 25 people. This includes cost budget responsibilities, planning of resources, development of the team’s capabilities and skills to meet todays and upcoming needs.

- Together with the team develop and propose technical roadmaps for our new and legacy systems to meet the demand from customers and internal stakeholders.

- Network with other R&D departments in ASSA ABLOY to find synergies and external collaborators to get inspiration for innovation.

- Be located in Landskrona, Sweden and report directly to the Head of Product Unit Digital Solutions and Technology Platforms.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced R&D engineering manager with at least 10 years’ experience from electronics and software development in complex projects. To succeed in this role, we believe you have a Master´s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar university degree.

As a R&D Manager Software and Test you will be a part of Business Areas Industrial Door Solutions (IDS) R&D management team, where you will contribute with your skills and experience on how to drive innovation in a global cross-functional multi-brand matrix organization.

Generally, you will manage, lead and develop the Software & Test Department that is divided into two teams. The software team is responsible for developing and maintaining the software in our products that are in line with defined performance, quality and safety requirements. The test team is responsible for planning and performing all tests related to our products. Most of our tests are conducted in our in-house testing facilities that belongs to this department.

Specifically, you will:

- Be the line manager for the Software and Test department that currently consists of 14 people. This includes cost budget responsibilities, planning of resources, development of the team’s capabilities and skills to meet todays and upcoming needs.
- Be the key decision maker when it comes to software architecture and technology choices for our products.
- Be responsible for development processes and tools that are specific for the software and test team.
- Decide what testing to be conducted in-house and what to involve external support and testing facilities.
- Together with the team develop and propose software technical roadmaps for our new and legacy software systems to secure the demand from customers and internal stakeholders.
- Manage and execute software development projects from start to finish. Evaluate these projects to find improvement for next generation of projects.
- Networking with other ASSA ABLOY R&D sites and external collaborators for the software and testing areas.
- Be located in Landskrona, Sweden and report directly to the R&D Director, Industrial Business Segment.


What we are looking for?

We are looking for an experienced software development manager with at least 10 years’ experience from software and product development in complex software projects. To succeed in this role we believe you have a Master´s in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar university degree.

Key competences:

- Excellent technical understanding of embedded software systems in general and functional safety systems in particular.
- Excel in managing software strategies and way of working for software development and follow along to implement these.
- Expertise in managing software and test development processes and projects.
- Experience as line manager with personnel responsibility.
- Proven experience as a leader for software development team.
- Strong in decision-making.
- Structured in your work.
- Ability to prioritize.
- Result driven in your work.
