As part of the small and dedicated R&D Electronics team, you will be a key-player in sharpening the competitiveness of ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems Pedestrian Doors, Swing Doors and Revolving Doors, serving millions of people in public areas across the world.

What you will be doing

As an Electronics Engineer, it will be your primary responsibility to:

- Develop, test and certify electronics for embedded systems.
- Conduct FMEA and develop unit tests to verify functionality, performance and compliance with our high standards.
- Take ownership of all activities from requirement analysis and break-down via Schematic and PCB Design to unit and integration test in a complete system.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge (workshops, publications, networks)
- Feasibility studies and technical investigations.
- Project work with certain group responsibilities.
- Specialization and responsibility for one or several areas of technology.
- Contact with third-party testing labs. 

This position is full time and located in Landskrona, Sweden, five to ten minutes’ walk from the train station. You will be part of a team of approx. 5 persons in total and report to our R&D Manager for Sweden. You will also cooperate with our R&D team in China and our production units in China, Czechia and the USA. The position may involve some travel to our production units.

Preferably you have a university degree (electronic engineer) and about 5 years’ work experience.

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is looking for three Back-End developers – IoT.

You will be part of a new dev team responsible for ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems IoT solutions. The team will develop solutions that will help our customers and our internal service organization to further improve operational efficiency. 

The divisional headquarter of ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is serving the global organization, five to ten minutes’ walk from the train station in a modern office.

What you will be doing

As a Back-End developer you will be an important part of our new IoT team. The team will develop Entrance system’s new IoT solutions. The IoT system connects our customers’ doors with an analytics Back-End and user interfaces. This enables an even higher level of service and availability of our doors that are part of the customers’ business critical processes. 

The IoT solution that we are working with is build using the AWS Cloud. As a Back-End developer you will also be working with integrations towards other internal systems such as ERP and external partners. You will also be involved in assessing new customer requirements. 

As IoT is an important part of AAES overall strategy, you will have the chance of making a real impact on the business. You will also have the opportunity to influence the team’s way of working as we are setting up a new team. You will be reporting to our IoT Platform Manager. 

What we are looking for

To succeed in this role we believe you have a Master´s in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar university degree. 

Technical skills and qualifications (mandatory):

·  5+ years experience of developing backend solutions for web applications.

·  Experience of languages like JavaScript, Java, C#, Python.

·  Used to working in a development team using Agile methodologies.

·  Experience of database programming (RDBMS/No).

Technical skills and qualifications (meritorious):

· Good understanding and experience of developing services on Cloud platforms in general and AWS in particular.

·  Good understanding of serverless micro services architecture in cloud environments.

·  Good understanding of building scalable systems.

·  Experience of developing IoT systems.

·  Experience of tools for CI/CD such Git, Jenkins.

·  Experience of security critical applications.

As a person you like to work in a team, you are structured and love to learn new things and share knowledge.
