Marinspect Safety & Rigging AB, is a company specialized in inspection, servicing and repair of life saving appliances onboard vessels in the merchant marine shipping industry, for example life boats, davits and winches. This involves plenty of travelling, both by car and also by airplane to the designated destinations. We also provide our customers with inspection, service and repair of lifting appliances and equipment, like cranes, hoists, trolleys and wire installation. What do you need to be successful in our company?
- Practical background as a mechanical technician/engineer. Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical experience is also a merit. Focus laying on the mechanical.
- Experience of the maritime field
- As the industry uses English as working language, you need to have a very good understanding of the English language, both oral and written.
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Ability to work at heights and a good physique as heavy physical work is not uncommon
- Driving license B is required. Higher is a merit.
- Ability to work weekends, nights and to go on a project on very short notice.
- Ability to work on your own, and also in team with other Marinspectors
- Very good social skills for cooperating smoothly with the crew, colleagues and for representing our company in the field.

Job Description:
- To carry out repairs, service and inspection of LSA and lifting equipment according to relevant legislation and company policies
- To prepare for jobs and to ensure that spare parts are available and other requirements are met.
- To issue service reports in English from each job carried out
- To prepare the invoicing documentation
- To report to the Project Manager and the customer when the job is completed and when/or problem occurs.
- To report to the Project Manager any incidents, near misses, anomalies, deviations, discrepancies in the job preparation, job execution, documentation or communication.
